A stunning female footballer from the U.K was left devastated back in 2020 when she was sacked by her team, Charlton Athletic, after photos emerged of her inhaling from a balloon at a party, and then drinking champagne at the wheel of her Range Rover while on a night out with friends.
The incident left Madelene Wright wondering if her career as a professional footballer was over – whether any other clubs would take her? And if not, what would she do from there?
Talking about the incident recently, Wright said:
“After I was sacked, I started thinking if I would be able to play football again, what level I’d be able to play, and will other teams want me at their club.
“When it all happened, I also understood how many people I had let down.
“I used to coach at a young girls’ academy and the kids looked up to me and always asked me for advice.
“I felt guilty, embarrassed and disappointed in myself that I showed myself in that light.”
But what the former Charlton and Millwall footballer didn’t realise, was that her time spent on the front page of British media would catapult her to fame, with her Instagram following rocketing up from around 20,000 followers in her footballing days, to a whopping 319,000 today!
With that social media growth, came opportunities to work with brands, particularly in the clothing and bikiki industry.
“It was almost like one career had ended, while another one was just beginning.”
However, it was her decision to venture into the world of selling private content online that really changed her life, deciding to join OnlyFans soon after her dismissal by Chalton Athletic, and incredibly, she earned £500,000 ($676,000) in her first year on the platform!
Charging $33 per month to her subscribers, it would have been hard for her to imagine that she would become one of the most successful creators on OnlyFans – a level of success that has afforded her a luxury lifestyle of travel and freedom that most people could only dream of.
On the platform, the football star posts pictures of herself wearing lingerie, bikinis, and even football tops for those supporters who loves to see hot women wearing football kits.
However, she does admit that at one stage she was reluctant to join OnlyFans due to its reputation for pornography and illicit material.
“My main reason not to do it was the reputation it had
“I didn’t want to be associated with that kind of thing.
“It was and still is a concern for me because I don’t want people getting that kind of perception about me.”
However, it’s fair to say that most people will fully understand now why she made the leap of faith.
“In the first year I made in the ballpark of half a million pounds,”
“I can’t lie, it has completely changed my life.
“I was able to get my own place, I have been able to travel the world and have enjoyed a lot of luxurious things.”
Whilst she still hasn’t ruled out a return to football, she also says she does eventually want to become an entrepreneur and start her own business. However, with things going so successfully on OnlyFans, we can expect to see her active on the platform for quite some time yet!
